Our Story

Corkia is a company that sells Portuguese wines founded in 2021 by the sisters Teresa and Beatriz. It is a family project with a lot of passion for Portuguese wine.

How did it start?

Portuguese wine has always been our passion, and we noticed that our family and friends had many difficulties in choosing a good wine. They would feel lost looking at the supermarket aisles, doubt the quality of the product, etc.
Out of this doubt, we received many calls asking if we knew the wine, they were thinking of buying and if it was worth it.
We also noticed that in moments of socializing, they would question where they could buy the wine we were carrying. They were surprised to find out that the wine was Portuguese and not available in the common supermarkets.
From this experience and desire to share our knowledge, Corkia was born to simplify your choice of Portuguese wines.
Our ambition is to introduce you to new wines and producers that match your tastes. To provide you in a convenient and quick way a good experience, without having to doubt again when choosing the wine.

How do we work?

Monthly we surprise you with our wine blindboxes, rigorously chosen according to your taste and wallet – Standard Box or Premium Box.
If you want to offer it to a friend or relative, we have the Gift Box.  
However, if you want to get out of your comfort zone and try other tastes, we have the Discovery Box.

After choosing your Blindbox, all you have to do is:
1.Set up the Box:
Choose the type of wine (red, white or mix), the number of bottles you want (2 or 4) and the payment method (one-time purchase or 3/6 month monthly subscription).
2. Share your tastes:
Answer the multiple-choice form with your preferences so we can tailor the wines.
3. Receive and Taste
Choose where you want to receive and enjoy this new experience of getting to know new Portuguese wines.
